A poster girl for body positivity, she received backlash last month when she said she was trying to lose weight.

She was accused of ‘succumbing to fatphobia,’ and has continued to struggle with owning her body image, as she did a duet with someone on TikTok Saturday who said she had ‘no desire to look good’ when she felt bigger.

Calling the girl’s feelings ‘extremely valid’ she said, ‘As a big person who’s  never been considered small, I have felt that exact same way at different places in my weight.’

‘I have found that the desire to look pretty comes with a lot of different variables.’

‘My surroundings…the way my family made me feel, the attention romantically from boys – all those things factored into whether I felt like I deserved to look pretty or not.’

‘I pray that you have people around you who positively reinforce you…Be good to yourself…Keep fighting those feelings – eventually your mind will catch up with how beautiful you actually are,’ she concluded.
