Six Feet Under cast and creator Alan Ball will reunite at PaleyFest LA

The critically-acclaimed HBO series Six Feet Under is coming back to life, so to speak, to celebrate the show’s 20th Anniversary.

The show’s cast along with series creator Alan Ball will reunite as part of this year’s PaleyFest LA, according to Variety. 

The entirety of PaleyFest LA will be held virtually, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Citi card members able to view the programs on March 23, with the general public able to view programs starting March 29 at 8 PM ET.

While the cast members for the reunion have yet to be announced, the panel will feature the cast and creator, ‘reminiscing and reflecting on the two decades years since the show premiered on HBO, and the impact it has had on audiences ever since. 

‘I look forward to reuniting with the cast of ‘Six Feet Under’ for the PaleyFest event marking its 20th anniversary,’ creator Alan Ball said in a statement. 

‘I have such tremendous respect for everyone, it will be a real treat to reconnect and talk about the show,’ he added.

The series debuted in June 2001 on HBO, following the Fisher family, owners of Fisher & Sons Funeral Home. 

The Fisher family was comprised of Nate (Peter Krause), David (Michael C. Hall), Ruth (Frances Conroy) and Claire (Lauren Ambrose).

The series also starred Freddy Rodriguez, Matthew St. Patrick, Rachel Griffiths, Justina Machado and Jeremy Sisto, which ran for five seasons between 2001 and 2005.

The beloved series won nine Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes, including Best Drama Series in 2002, during its critically-acclaimed run.

The show itself is considered among the best TV shows of all time, while its series finale is also said to be among the best ever.

Aside from Six Feet Under, PaleyFest LA also announced two more panels on Wednesday, one for ABC’s Big Sky and another for CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden.

‘We’re thrilled to announce the first selections to this year’s PaleyFest LA, which will include a look at one of television’s hottest new shows, a conversation with one of the most beloved names in late night, and a reunion twenty years in the making,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center for Media’s president and CEO.

The remaining panels for PaleyFest LA will be announced on February 9, with all of the panels viewable on Paley Center’s Yahoo Entertainment channel.
