Curtis Pritchard has claimed he no longer in touch with his Love Island co-stars.

The dancer, 24, appeared on Friday’s edition of Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4 , where guest host Bill Bailey quizzed him on how close he remained with his fellow stars, especially ex-girlfriend Maura Higgins.

However, Curtis was quick to dismiss the Strictly Come Dancing 2020 champion’s questions, as he claimed he had ‘no idea’ what the Irish beauty, 30, was up to.

When asked about his former friends from the show, and if he was still in contact with them, Curtis claimed: ‘I haven’t. I’m just going to tell you straight, I really haven’t to be fair.’

He then said of Maura: ‘I’ve no idea what she’s even doing. I wish her all the best and I hope her relationship is going good.’

Maura and Curtis dated for seven months after meeting on the 2019 series of Love Island, she has since moved on with boyfriend Chris Taylor.

Maura and Chris only confirmed their romance in November following months of speculation, and after they both denied being an item as far back as July.

In November, Curtis lashed out at ex-girlfriend Maura and his ‘close’ friend Chris after learning of their new romance.

And while his romance with Maura came to an end in March, he has now revealed that he feels ‘hurt’ and ‘betrayed’ after she shared news that she’s now moved on to start dating Chris.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: ‘I feel betrayed by them both — two people I was very close to. When I saw the pictures, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel hurt. I was upset. How long has this truly been going on for?’

Denying once again that he was ever unfaithful during his time with Maura, Curtis went on to suggest that Chris was waiting in the wings for the chance to date Maura.

He explained: ‘If you look back on everything — and I am looking back on it now — I’m like, “Curtis, all the signs were bloomin’ there, why didn’t you realise then?”

‘You just don’t when you are in that situation. You trust what they say. Now her true colours are shown. They said they would never ever be together, and here they are.’

Curtis added that he was particularly hurt by Chris because he ‘supported’ and was ‘a really good person’ to him during their time together in the Love Island villa.

MailOnline contacted representatives for Maura and Chris for comment at the time.
