Former footballer Moana Hope says her ‘inspiring’ wife Isabella Carlstrom gave birth to their daughter Svea with NO painkillers – as she shares plans to carry their next child herself
Moana Hope has praised her wife Isabella Carlstrom after the birth of their first child together, daughter Svea, in November.
The former AFL star, 32, told The Herald Sun that she was ‘inspired’ by her 28-year-old model wife during labour, and hopes to fall pregnant soon herself.
She told the paper: ‘I’m so proud of Belle, she’s been through the wars with recovery. It’s unbelievable. I remember when Belle was in labour, I thought “I’m going to get preggers soon as well.”

‘I said I’m asking for the epidural, I don’t care. Belle never got it and she birthed without pain relief and it was just so inspiring.
‘I was so inspired by Belle and once Svea was born I said, “you know what I’m going to give it a go”.
The footballer went on to say the birth of the couple’s daughter was ‘the best thing’ that ever happened to her.

Last month, the couple enjoyed their first Christmas as a family of three, sharing sweet photos to Instagram.
Moana posed with her wife, who held the couple’s daughter cradled in her arms.
Isabella gave the athlete a sweet peck on the cheek, with Moana absolutely beaming during the sweet moment.

Another image from the day showed the wives side by side in matching outfits – both wearing flowing white.
Moana and Isabella met at a party in 2017, and married two years later, in August 2019.
In May this year, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together through IVF.
