Dancing On Ice’s Denise Van Outen was rushed to hospital on Thursday after a shock fall led her to get a shoulder injury.

The actress, 46, revealed to The Sun on Saturday that she had fallen over during rehearsals ahead her debut on the ice rink on Sunday night, and suffered an injury that could put her appearance in jeopardy.

She explained: ‘I’ve taken a few tumbles since we started training but with this one I knew immediately it wasn’t good.

‘I was rehearsing with Matt, hit my toe pick and went flying. Straightaway I knew I’d done something. I just thought, “Please don’t let it be a break.”‘

Denise added: ‘The on-site medics and physio checked me over immediately and my shoulder was quickly iced.’

Following the assessment at the studio rink at Bovingdon Airfield, Hertfordshire, she was taken to A&E where she had an emergency X-Ray done.

The procedure revealed she had partially dislocated her left shoulder and damaged her tendons, while she was also badly bruised.

According to the publication, Denise was advised to rest in order to recover before Sunday to help improve her chances of making her debut.
