She gave birth to her son, who she shares with beau Tom Andrews, last week.

And Ashley James shared a candid look at her postpartum figure on Instagram on Sunday as she gave her fans a new update on her first week as a mother.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 33, confidently flaunted her postpartum body in a black nursing bra and M&S underwear as she filmed herself in a full-length mirror.

She showed off her figure from all angles as she admitted that she feels ‘much more secure’ about her post-birth figure than she did when she was ‘toned’ in her 20s.

Ashley let her natural beauty shine through as she went make-up free for the candid post, which marked her eighth day since she welcomed her baby boy.

She styled her golden tresses in a straight fashion as she gave her fans another update on how her postpartum figure has been changing in the past week.

In an honest caption, the TV personality credited ‘self love and body confidence’ for helping her feel so ‘secure’ since becoming a mother.

She urged her fans to be kind to themselves and said she believes that following ‘body confident people’ on social media can help with self-esteem.

Opening up about her life as a new mother, Ashley candidly revealed that it was her first day wearing ‘non-disposable knickers’ since giving birth eight days earlier.

She proudly penned: ‘Eight days since birth. First day wearing non-disposable knickers (i got these M&S ones that have a really thick crotch). Still wearing maternity pads.

‘I honestly really think that self love and body confidence works because I feel so much more secure about my body now than I did when I was “toned” in my mid/late 20s.

‘So keep being kind to yourself, keep following body confident people on here. I believe it works’ (sic)

It is not the first time that Ashley has reflected on her postpartum body, as she previously opened up about how her figure has changed since giving birth.

She said she felt ‘liberated’ and ‘fascinated’ seeing how her body has changed since welcoming her baby boy as she shared candid snaps of her postpartum body.

Ashley also revealed that she’s planning to take pills made from her placenta after giving birth to her baby son with her boyfriend Tom.

The reality star took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a glimpse of the kit she received made from her placenta, alongside a framed piece made from her baby’s umbilical cord.

Ashley shared a video of the products she’d received that had been made from her placenta, including pills and body lotions.

She admitted that she had decided to take the supplements after hearing they reduce the chances of getting the ‘baby blues’.

Ashley wrote: ‘My @placentaplus has arrived. I decided to take placenta pills as it’s meant to help with the baby blues.

‘The process was really easy. As soon as I birthed my placenta the midwives put it in the designated box we were sent and straight into the fridge, then we called the @placentaplus number and they arrived to pick it up 3 hours later. Received the box last night.’

In the video, Ashley also told her fans that she’d had her baby’s umbilical dried and placed in a frame as it took pride of place with her placenta pills.

The post comes just hours after Ashley took to Instagram to share snaps of her postpartum figure a mere two hours after giving birth.

The new mother posted a series of images wearing a nursing bra and knickers, a couple of which were taken at the hospital hours after her labour.

Ashley revealed she has enjoyed documenting the changes in her body, and shared photos from the day she gave birth, a few days afterwards and before.

She continued: ‘Pregnancy and childbirth has given me a whole new appreciation for my body, and I look everyday at wonder at all the little changes.

‘I’ve been documenting my body with total fascination. The first two images are taken 2 hours after giving birth in the hospital, picture 3 is yesterday, and picture 4 & 5 are taken a few days before birth.’

‘The videos are all a day apart. I feel like we’re taught to fear pregnancy, or how our bodies will look post-birth, but I feel like it’s been the most liberating experience.’

The body confident star went on to admit that she now realises any ‘faults’ she found with her body before pregnancy, weren’t actually related to her body at all.

She said: ‘And also makes me so sad for how we are taught to hate our bodies… I look back at my body pre-pregnancy and realise any hang ups I ever had with my body had NOTHING to do with my body.’

Ashley also insisted she has no desire to jump back into a work out routine, and said: ‘I feel like there’s all this talk of ‘snapping back’ – I’ve been asked countless times whether I’m going to be snapping back, or whether I feel pressure to…

‘I wish it wasn’t even a question we had to be asked. And I’ve seen women being shamed for their body’s ability to naturally shake off their weight.

‘The truth is we’re all so different, and right now I’m just fascinated at how my body is changing daily.

‘I’m in awe of what it grew, how it grew, what it went through, and how it’s changing now.

‘I love that my belly is a little wobbly as it’s the perfect place for baby’s little body to rest on for post feeding naps. He loves it.

‘I also love that my body is being used for what nature intended – I’m not sure if this makes sense or not, but having had my boobs be sexualises ever since I was a teen, it’s just so nice to see a baby feeding and sleeping on them. Bliss.’

On Monday, Ashley took to Instagram to share a first look at her baby boy since welcoming him to the world just days earlier.

Posting a snap of her hand holding her tiny baby’s foot, Ashley wrote: ‘Well hey guys.
