He’s back! Guy Pearce filmed scenes for ABC drama Jack Irish’s final season in Melbourne on Monday. He is reprising his role as the titular character after the show took a three-year hiatus

The Australian series follows the antics of Jack Irish, a criminal-lawyer-turned-debt collector and private investigator.

Playing the titular character, Guy looked suave in trousers, a checkered dress shirt and a camel bomber jacket.

Despite having found considerable fame in Hollywood, Guy enjoys living a very private life in Melbourne.

Between scenes, Guy rugged up in a puffer jacket and traded in his camel-toned boots for slip-on Birkenstocks.

Holding on to papers, it appears he placed his reading glasses on to make revisions to his script before ‘action’ was called.

‘I’m very much looking forward to Jack’s final hurrah’: Guy’s last season as Jack Irish will mark almost decade since he took on the role for the first time in 2012

The explosive final series of Jack Irish delves deep into Jack’s past, questioning everything he thought he knew about his life.

Guy told ABC in November: ‘Jack has been one of the most enjoyable characters I’ve ever played. From our first telemovie in 2012 to our last miniseries in 2018 every twist and turn has been thrilling and every line of dialogue utterly satisfying.

‘I’m very much looking forward to Jack’s final hurrah but also feeling a deep sense of melancholy knowing it will be our last.’
