Cayman Police spoke to Armie Hammer about video of lingerie-clad woman he called ‘Miss Cayman’

Police in the Cayman Islands spoke to actor Armie Hammer about a video he shared on his private Instagram account showing a woman in lingerie on all fours who he called ‘Miss Cayman’.

Grand Cayman police said authorities spoke with the 34-year-old actor on Friday January 15 about the footage following a complaint in a press release Wednesday.

‘On January 15, 2021, the RCIPS received an allegation of misuse of ICT in relation to a suggestive video which had been posted on social media,’ police said in a statement. ICT refers to information and communications technology.

‘Officers investigated the matter and spoke to the suspect, who was warned about his conduct, in accordance with the wishes of the complainant,’ the statement added.

The case is now closed. Officials said he was not brought into police custody and was not arrested.

Last week DailyMail.com exclusively obtained videos from Hammer’s private Instagram account including a 40-second video that shows an unidentified woman clad in strappy black lingerie on all fours on a bed with her back facing the camera.

In that post he wrote: ‘Well… my ex (for a very good reason) wife is refusing to come back to america with my children. So I have to go back to Cayman… which sucks. Except there are a few silver linings. Like f**king Ms. Cayman again while I’m down there.’

He apologized for the ‘foolish’ video on Sunday, clarifying that the woman was not current reigning Miss Cayman.

‘I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman,’ Hammer said in a statement shared with the Cayman Compass.

‘I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humor may have caused. My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don’t know, and to the entire organization, as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman,’ he added.

His apology came after The Miss Cayman Islands Universe Committee condemned the clip saying they were ‘very disturbed by the video’ and reported it to police.

The committee said they ‘would like to confirm that the woman is not the reigning Miss Cayman Islands and has no affiliation to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant.’

‘The Committee and the reigning Miss Cayman [Mariah Tibbetts] regard this issue with the utmost seriousness and the matter has been reported to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS),’ the statement said.

‘The role of Miss Cayman is in part, to serve as a role model to young Caymanian women. The depiction of the woman in the video goes against all that our organisation stands for and the Committee is consequently requesting that Mr. Hammer immediately remove all references to Miss Cayman from his social media channels,’ the statement added.

In another clip obtained by DailyMail.com Hammer bragged about passing a drug test despite having drugs in his system.

Hammer has been embroiled in a social media scandal in recent weeks for allegedly sending a slew of graphic sexual fantasies to women via DM, including talk about rape fantasies, BDSM and cannabalism.

Last week, Hammer dropped out of his upcoming film Shotgun Wedding costarring Jennifer Lopez following the scandal.

His estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers, 38, with whom he shares two kids, is in ‘complete shock’ and ‘sickened’ over the allegations.

The couple announced in July they were ending their 10-year marriage and the children, aged six and three, have been living with Chambers in the Cayman Islands.
