‘I was highly manipulated’: The Bachelorette’s Jed Wyatt complains about his treatment by show after Dylan Barbour said he was ‘screwed over by production’

Jed Wyatt is unhappy with The Bachelorette producers over his treatment by the show.

The 27-year-old musician took to Instagram Stories Sunday with a gracious message for former season 15 castmate Dylan Barbour, who had his back on social media.

Barbour said in a Twitter Q&A Saturday that ‘it’s easy [for the show’s producers] to make a bad person look worse, it’s hard to make a good person look bad.’

Barbour said in a tweet that Wyatt had been ‘screwed over’ in how he was depicted amid his time on the series, in which he vied for the affection of Hannah Brown.

Wyatt had kind words for Barbour, who said Wyatt has ‘the most screwed over by production’ and was never unfaithful to Brown, who was in a brief engagement with Wyatt.

‘The facts are this, that yes, I was highly manipulated, and from it – deeply mentally affected from the show,’ Wyatt said. ‘And two, no, I never cheated, ever,’ on either Brown or his former girlfriend Haley Stevens.

‘I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the love and the support today,’ Wyatt said. ‘It was really cool that this got brought to light by Dylan.’

Wyatt – who was given Brown’s final rose on The Bachelorette finale less than two years ago – said he’d ‘actually be going into deeper detail’ on his podcast Jed Talks Tuesday.

Wyatt’s faithfulness to Brown was called into question amid the After the Final Rose, as she suspected he was dishonest about the timeline on which he dated Stevens.

Wyatt denied the allegations in an August 2019 edition of the Bachelor Happy Hour, where he said that while he was ‘remorseful’ over some aspects of the relationship, he ‘absolutely [did] not’ cheat on Brown at any time.
