Looking for a salty snack? Horrifying moment a giant four-metre saltwater crocodile gulps down a SHARK just metres from the woman who reeled in the fish

  • Enormous ‘monster’ crocodile stalks and eats a shark metres from woman
  • Woman reeled in the shark which attracted the hungry crocodile on Sunday
  • Yvonne Palmer said she’s never been as scared as she was in that moment

A woman has got more than she bargained for while fishing on a beach when she reeled in a shark… only for it to be eaten by a crocodile seconds later on the shoreline.

Yvonne Palmer shared footage on Sunday of the moment a ‘monster’ saltwater crocodile devoured the shark in Cardwell in Far North Queensland.

The crocodile appears to be at least four metres long, stalking the shark along the shore after it got caught on the woman’s fishing line.

‘Check out this monster … holy smackers,’ Palmer says in the video.

‘I just caught a shark, which I couldn’t get back into the water because this fella was coming and now he’s going to come and eat it and I am going to sh*t myself.’

As the tiny shark flaps on the sand, the croc stalks it and slowly approaches from behind.

‘Oh lord, this thing is only like metres from us… I have never been shaking so much in my whole… life,’ Ms Palmer says.

It then snatches the shark between its jaws and returns to the sea.

‘F**k me dead, I cannot stop shaking, welcome to Cardwell, North Queensland,’ the Palmer says in the video.

‘Oh my lord, he’s like one, two, three, I can see like four metres and he’s still got tail in the water, that’s the biggest crocodile I’ve ever seen in my life.’

Ms Palmer shared the footage to her Facebook page, apologising for her language in the video.

‘Sorry about all the foul language guys,’ she wrote, ‘but I was sh*tting myself’.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ms Palmer for more information about the incident.
