They’re doing whatever it takes to raise their son.

And while there’s no interest in sparking up a romantic relationship once again, Anderson Cooper and ex Benjamin Maisani are living together to raise their nine-month-old son Wyatt.

The 53-year-old journalist detailed how he makes his unique living situation work while chatting with Ellen DeGeneres on her self-titled show.

‘We actually still live in the same house because we get along really well,’ the CNN anchor said during a TV interview. 

‘It works out. It was interesting because he wasn’t really sure he wanted to have a kid, which was one of the reasons we probably broke up. But then he came around on the idea, and now he is just such a great parent.’

While it took some time for the night club owner to envision his life as a father, he has settled nicely into the different change of pace.

The 46-year-old was caught ‘weeping’ during their baby boy’s vaccination appointment, which Cooper said ‘was really sweet to see.’ 

Anderson and Benjamin welcomed their little one into the world in April 2020 via surrogate.

When asked if there was a chance for the pair to be a coupe once again, Anderson said: ‘No. It’s not going to happen.’

When it comes to a second child, Cooper said ‘there’s nothing in the works’ for the time being. 

‘I don’t know. Yes, I would love to. I think it would be great for him to have a sibling. I’m not sure I could handle another, but he’s really such an easy kid,’ he said. ‘He’s still sleeping, like, 12 and a half hours every night, he eats his sweet peas and his mushed little cauliflower. He’s such a happy little chappy. It’s such a joy.’ 

Anderson and Benjamin began dating in 2009 before ending things nine years later. He told Howard Stern last year that he’s co-parenting with his ex because it’s ‘good to have two parents.’
