Michelle Keegan trades the tracksuits for an elegant green gown as she films Brassic in Manchester

Michelle Keegan was on hand to scatter the confetti as two friends exchanged vows during a packed wedding on Wednesday.

Fortunately no health and safety guidelines were broken, with the actress only on hand to film her latest scenes as feisty Erin Croft for Sky One series Brassic.

Dressed in an elegant green gown – a contrast to Erin’s usual tracksuits – Michelle was hemmed in with a crowd of cast-mates as cameras rolled on the celebratory aftermath of Carol Dennings and Leslie “Cardi” Titt’s nuptials.

With the couple surrounded by guests, Michelle was seen clapping and cheering as cameras rolled on the outdoor Manchester set.

The actress was already easy to spot courtesy of a glamorous makeover that included neatly coiffed hair, rich red lipstick and generously applied mascara and foundation.

She was joined by co-star Joe Gilgun, whose character Vinnie O’Neill appeared to overlook the formal dress code by wearing a track suit as they saw off the newly married couple – respectively played by Bronagh Gallagher and Tom Hanson.

Michelle was forced to stop filming the third series of the show last year in order to isolate after she was exposed to COVID-19, although she did not contract the virus.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Michelle had to take time away from the Brassic set once again and has been laying low in Essex with her husband Mark Wright.

‘She only missed one day of filming. But she needed to isolate after she came into contact with someone in Manchester who had it.
