Home and Away’s Ada Nicodemou joins all-stars reboot of Dancing with the Stars on Channel Seven – after it was axed by Network 10

Home and Away’s Ada Nicodemou took home the title of the Dancing With The Stars champion back in 2005.

And on Sunday, the 43-year-old actress confirmed she will be returning to the dance floor on this year’s all-stars reboot of DWTS on Channel Seven.

‘When they first approached me… I thought that maybe I actually didn’t have it in me. I’m 43 now and I thought maybe I was too old,’ she told The Sunday Telegraph.

‘But then I just thought; “You know what? Why not. It’s a challenge and that’s what life is all about at the end of the day. New challenges”.’

The brunette beauty will be reunited with her original dance partner Aric Yegudkin.

Ada will also be joined by a several contenders from past seasons in the epic all stars outing.

According to The Daily Telegraph, a My Kitchen Rules star is currently in contract negotiations.

‘A lot of people put their hands up wanting to dust off their dancing shoes,’ a source told the publication.

Some suggested stars include past winners Bec Hewitt and Grant Denyer.

Possible appearances from former contestants such as Chris Hemsworth, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Nikki Webster and Pauline Hanson could be on the slate, too.

Daryl Sommers, 69, who hosted the show between 2004 and 2007 alongside Sonia Kruger, 55, is also reportedly returning to the show.

The network press release revealed the reboot will air ‘over two action-packed weeks’.

In October, Channel 10 confirmed that Dancing with the Stars will not be returning in 2021.

Dancing with the Stars originally aired from 2004 to 2015 on Channel Seven, before moving to Channel 10 in 2019 with new hosts Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller.

While it wasn’t a ratings flop for 10 – its 2020 finale was watched by a respectable 635,000 viewers.

However the numbers didn’t justify the budget required to produce a weekly live broadcast complete with celebrity salaries.

TV Blackbox reported this week that Channel Seven bough the rights to air the show in 2021.
