NRL star Tom Burgess, 28, and his fiancée Tahlia Giumelli, 28, have purchased their ‘forever home’ in Woolooware in the New South Wales’ Sutherland Shire. 

As reported by The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the sporting power couple paid $2.61million for the four-bedroom property – a spacious abode for their brood.

Tom and Tahlia, who are proud parents to daughters Sophie, 18 months, and Elodie, nearly three months, plan on extensively renovating the 2002 built home, having created an Instagram page to update their fans on their journey.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the property was in high demand with the auction brought forward a week earlier, to last weekend.  

The couple spent the past 12 months searching for their perfect ‘forever home’. 

Covering two floors, the home features four bedrooms on the upstairs level, including a master with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite.

A renovator's dream: There are also four bedrooms, including a master with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, and an open-plan kitchen. Tahlia revealed on their new Instagram page, Building With The Burgesses, that they plan on swapping out the tiles for floorboards

The ground level contains living and dining areas, a home office, and an entertainer’s kitchen, that leads out onto a patio with landscaped gardens and a swimming pool.

On their new Instagram page, Building With The Burgesses, Tahlia revealed that their first step is a ‘fresh coat of paint’ on all the rooms that have their own feature wall.

They also plan on ‘replacing the tiles with floorboards to really set the coastal vibe’, and are loving the ‘flat backyard’ for their young children to play.

‘We plan to extend the deck up to the kitchen and make it into a breakfast bar with a barbecue and fridge area too for entertaining,’ Tahlia added.    

Tom, the brother of fellow footy stars Sam and Luke Burgess, sold his Little Bay penthouse last year for $1.5million.
