Readers were quick to respond to his comment, expressing their sympathy for ‘those poor ladies’ and labelling his desire to take part as ‘awkward’.

‘Why be so rude to him? Do you know him? No. He would be the only real person on! Go away,’ Nasser responded to one of the negative comments.

In February, Nasser showed his interest at starring on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! by posting a meme of himself photoshopped into a promo for the reality TV show.

The reality TV star also campaigned to become Australia’s next Bachelor for 2021.

‘I have decided to put myself forward to be the first multi-cultural, Arabic-speaking, Mediterranean-looking Bachelor for 2021,’ he captioned a clip to his Instagram on October 27.

‘I feel we need a change and I am that change, so I need your support.’
