Kenya Moore in hot water over her ‘super problematic’ Native American Halloween costume on Real Housewives of Atlanta

Kenya Moore is being accused of cultural appropriation after going to a Halloween soiree dressed as an indigenous person in the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

During a tense episode for the star, her RHOA costars were quick to call the 50-year-old out about the tasteless look at the party and later in their solo confessionals.

And, after the episode aired Sunday on night, viewers joined in on social media to slam the reality star for her insensitive choice.

During the night of the event Kenya described her costume as a ‘warrior princess’.

However, between the full feathered headdress and the fact that the show wrote ‘Native American’ on the screen, people were clearly not buying it.

Fellow Housewife Drew Sidora made a crack about the ensemble during her confessional.

‘Kenya’s Native American costume is super problematic but I ain’t trying to ruffle no feathers for this girls trip,’ she said. ‘It seems like I’m the only one who sees the issues with Kenya Moore’s decisions.’

Drew was decidedly not the only person in the group to take umbrage with Kenya’s costume as Porsha Williams also made her distaste known during the part.

‘Kenya is a Native American warrior,’ she quipped. ‘I thought we weren’t doing that no more. I knew that this girl was crazy, but add lame to the list, add whack to the list.’

On social media, users wasted no time in calling Kenya out for her cultural appropriation and the mother of one actually jumped in to defend herself at one point.

Several people dubbed the cultural appropriation ‘disgusting’.

The issue about Kenya’s costume came amid a tense episode where she protested that there was no reason for her costars to be so unkind to her.

‘I have done nothing to those b****es; nothing,’ she insisted.
