Gwen Stefani, 51, is ‘obsessed’ with ageing and admits growing older in the spotlight is ‘daunting’

Gwen Stefani, 51, says she’s ‘obsessed’ with how she’s ageing… and admits that growing older in the spotlight is ‘daunting’ despite her youthful looks

Gwen Stefani has admitted that she’s struggled with coming to terms with the ageing process while in the spotlight.

Despite her youthful looks, the 51-year-old says ‘it’s really hard for everyone to age and have to face life.’

In an interview with Stellar Magazine, the No Doubt singer said that growing older is especially challenging ‘for females and people who have been in the spotlight… it can be daunting.’

However, she also admitted that she tries to tackle it by focusing on being ‘beautiful’ internally and externally.

‘People talking about my ageing is a compliment, I guess. I’m kind of obsessed with how I’m ageing, too.’

When asked what her beauty secret was, the mum-of-three claims that it has nothing to do with magic creams or surgery.

She did however, spill that she thinks it comes down to the happiness gets from her relationship with fiance Blake Shelton.

‘Blake is the greatest guy. I look back over the past few years and look at pictures of when I first started kissing Blake, and I look the best I’ve ever looked in my life in those photos.

‘Love must look good on me. I feel like that does show through – it really does,’ she added.

The couple, who met on The Voice in 2014 have been smitten ever since, with Blake popping the question to the blonde beauty in October.

And it appears Blake is indeed her biggest fan, as in February, admitted he noticed her complexion is strikingly youthful.

‘I don’t know how it’s scientifically possible to look how she does,’ the country crooner said at the time.

Proving she well and truly still has it, Gwen pulled her edgy style out of the bag once again earlier this month as she transformed into a rhinestone cowgirl to plug her new single Slow Clap.

In the promotional pictures for the tune, she flaunted her jaw-dropping figure in a barely-there ensemble comprising a pink shirt and silver bralet and high-waisted bottoms.

Gwen is mum to three sons, Kingston, 14, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, 12, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, six, who she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, who she split from in 2016 after 14 years of marriage.
