‘If they thought the last series was bum clenchingly raucous, wait until they see this series. It’s going to be a hoot.’

Paul Mortimer, head of ITV’s digital channels, added that Emily is an ‘exceptional talent’, saying that her ‘versatility as a comedy actress and hilariously self-deprecating sense of humour resonated with our viewers.’

It comes after Emily stressed the importance of highlighting ‘sexual harassment blind spots’ on social media.

The presenter had previously opened up about the terrifying moment she was followed by a man who hurled sexual abuse at her as she walked home at night.

She has since reflected on how this ‘had a huge impact on her mental health’ on Monday’s episode of Loose Women.

On tackling online bullying, Emily said: ‘This is something I’ve been dying to talk about for a really long time, it’s about finding the right moment and feeling ready to.

‘We live our lives online now and there’s this new culture, especially young people, but also older people too, anybody can say anything to anybody.

‘Trolling is one thing, but what I’m really noticing is this sexual harassment blind spot that’s really out of control, it’s had a huge impact on my mental health.

‘I think we’re seeing the impact of social media and what it has on people, highlighting this sexual harassment blind spot is really important to me… people think they can get away with it online.’

In UNILAD’s Minutes With series, the actress spoke of how rising to fame on The Inbetweeners as the ‘Charlotte Big Jugs’ girl has led to years of unwanted attention.

Remembering the incident, she said she was ‘frightened’ when the man confronted her and persisted in making advances and derogatory comments as she walked home from the pub.
