Salma Hayek has been seen for the first time on the set of new film House Of Gucci.
The actress, 54, is set to play the role of Pina Auriemma, who was a clairvoyant friend of ‘black widow’ Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga) and was sentenced to 25 years in prison after Maurizio Gucci’s murder trial in 1998.
While shooting the hotly-anticipated movie in Rome on Thursday, Salma donned in a statement brown Gucci tracksuit and sunglasses.

Salma seemed relaxed as she strolled around the set in her eye-catching ensemble, which boasted sparkling stripes and zips on the inner legs.
The star paired her two-piece with some black boots and a simple black T-shirt as well as a long necklace.
After stepping out of her trailer holding a brown paper bag, Salma was seen inside a car and chatting on the phone.

She ensured to follow all coronavirus guidelines and donned a face mask for the journey.
Elsewhere on the shoot, Salma slipped into a smart leather midi-skirt and baggy top paired with some bright green heels.
Salma wore her brunette locks pinned back into a chic bun or twisted style throughout the day.

Pina was sentenced to 25 years for allegedly organising the killing for a fee of around £250,000. Her sentence was reduced to 19 years on appeal, reports the Daily Beast.
According to the Daily Mail, Pina had been struggling with debts herself and claimed that ‘in a moment of weakness’ she gave in to her friend’s requests to find a hitman.
Patrizia, who showed up at the trial in 1998 dressed head-to-toe in Gucci clothing and accessories, claimed Pina hired the hitman without her authorisation and had then blackmailed her after the murder had taken place.
Pina, who now has anything to do with her old friend, previously told The Sun: ‘I have great remorse, even if I did not actively participate in the organisation of the murder.’
Italy24News reports that Pina was released from jail in 2010, after serving around 13 years of her sentence.

Reggiani put a hit out on her estranged husband after Gucci left her for another woman 10 years previously, telling her he was going on a short business trip from which he never returned.
Reggiani was also said to fear her daughters’ -Alessandra and Allegra- $170million inheritance was at risk if he remarried before ordering the hit.
She also wanted more than the $650,000 she had been offered in a divorce settlement, the court heard.
Reggiani eventually hired hitman Benedetto Ceraulo, a debt-ridden pizzeria owner who shot Gucci dead on the steps of his office in Milan as he arrived for work. Ceraulo was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

During the murder trial, which transfixed Italy, Reggiani arrived each day wearing head-to-toe Gucci clothes and accessories.
Reggiani was initially sentenced to 29 years in 1998, which was reduced to 26 on appeal. She served 18 before being released in October 2014.
As well as Patrizia, Pina and Benedetto’s sentences, the getaway driver and a night porter also involved in the murder were sentenced to 29 and 26 years in prison respectively.
Patrizia spent her time in Milan’s San Vittore Prison sleeping ‘a lot’ and taking care of her plants. She was also allowed to care for her pet ferret Bambi.
In 2011, Patrizia turned down the chance of being moved to an open prison where inmates were expected to work, saying: ‘I’ve never worked in my life and I’m certainly not going to start now.’

Well-known for her luxury lifestyle, Reggiani once said: ‘I’d rather cry in a Rolls than be happy on a bicycle’.
In 2017 a court ruled Reggiani was entitled to receive £900,000 a year from her ex-husband’s fortune.
Maurizio Gucci was the grandson of Guccio Gucci, founder of the fashion company made famous with its double G logo. In the early 1990s it was hit by problems and he sold the label for $120 million, just two years before his death.
The film is based on the bestselling novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by author Sara Gay Forden.
It is scheduled to go on general release from November 24th 2021.
