Taylor Swift released her own version of her 2008 album Fearless on Thursday following the sale of her master recordings.

The 31-year-old singing superstar took to social media to mark the moment.

‘It was the night things changed. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is out now,’ Taylor posted for her roughly 153 million followers on Instagram and 88.7 million on Twitter.

Taylor unsuccessfully tried to acquire the rights to her back catalog and announced in August 2019 that she intended to re-record her first six albums after the sale of her master recordings to Scooter Braun, 39, who later sold them to Shamrock Holdings.

She announced in February that Fearless (Taylor’s Version) would be her first album to be re-recorded and released the lead single Love Story (Taylor’s Version) the same month.

Love Story (Taylor’s Version) topped the Billboard Digital Songs and Hot Country Songs charts.

Taylor became the second artist, after Dolly Parton, to reach number one on the Hot Country Songs with both the original and re-recorded versions of a song.

Fearless was Taylor’s second studio album and upon its release in 2008 became a critical and commercial success with its crossover singles Love Story and You Belong With Me.

The album won four Grammy Awards at the 52nd ceremony and helped cement Taylor as one of the biggest performers of her generation.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) features 26 songs and six previously unheard tracks.

Taylor had already released ‘You All Over Me (From the Vault)’ featuring Maren Morris, ‘Love Story (Taylor’s Version)’ and ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine (From the Vault)’.

The latter was penned in 2008, but never made it onto the final track-listing for the original cut of ‘Fearless’.

Keith Urban – who the ‘cardigan’ hitmaker supported on the ‘Escape Together World’ in 2009 – duets with Taylor on ‘That’s When’ (From the Vault)’ and the Australian superstar also added harmonies to ‘We Were Happy (From the Vault)’.

‘Bye Bye Baby’ concludes the six unreleased cuts from ‘Fearless’.

The final song on the track-listing is the bonus remix ‘Love Story (Taylor’s Version)’ by Elvira Anderfjärd, a Swedish producer who has worked with the likes of Katy Perry and Tove Lo.
