Married At First Sight’s Patrick Dwyer and Belinda Vickers set the record straight about family plans as they settle into ‘normal life’ together

Married At First Sight stars Patrick Dwyer and Belinda Vickers have set the record straight on talk they’re about to start a family together.

‘We have said that we want to start a family one day, but Bel has said not yet,’ he told Nine Now on Thursday.

‘We know it’s not going to happen at any certain age or in any amount of years, but it’s still on the table for sure,’ he said.

The couple are still settling into dating life with the pair living 30 minutes away from each other in Melbourne.

‘We’re just adjusting to our lives and seeing how that goes, but we only live about 30 minutes away from each other,’ he said.

‘So we get to see each other as much as we can and living our own lives at the same time which is important. It’s all going really well!’

Earlier this week the couple set tongues-wagging by admitting they have already discussed baby plans together.

‘I definitely think Pat would be a great dad, there’s no doubt in my mind,’ Belinda, 30, told Woman’s Day.

‘We’ve talked about it. I definitely want them (children),’ Patrick added.

‘I joked about it (marriage plans) last week and she freaked out… so I was like OK, I’ll wait a bit,’ he added.

Patrick and Belinda were one of few couples this season to get their happily ever after on Married At First Sight.

An emotional Belinda praised Patrick for being patient with her, and said she was ‘so grateful’ he’d come into her life.

Patrick confessed he wasn’t popular with girls and admitted he ‘was worried if the person I got matched with was ever going to like me’.
