Little Mix transform into bearded men as they star in new Confetti music video

Little Mix have gone for a whole new look as they starred in their first music video since Jesy Nelson’s exit for their new single Confetti.

In the video released on Friday, the trio showed off their androgynous side as they transformed into men.

Jade Thirlwall, 28, Perrie Edwards, 27, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, looked barely recognisable as they donned fake beards, dozens of tattoos and baggy clothing.

Back with a bang: Little Mix transformed into bearded men as they starred for the first time as a trio in their new Confetti music video after Jesy Nelson left band in December

The girls appeared in their element as they played up to their male alter-egos, and in one segment headed to the men’s bathroom in the club.

In character, Jade says: ‘I think I’ve got a chance with Perrie you know’, before Perrie says: ‘See Jade? She would get it. To be fair they all would.’

The girls have collaborated with US rapper and singer Saweetie on the track after reworking the single following Jesy’s departure from the band in December.

Jade’s love of drag culture is also a predominant theme in the music video with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars A’Whora, Bimini and Tayce making appearances.

During a guest appearance on Capital FM on Friday, Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne discussed how they’ve adjusted to being a trio since Jesy’s departure.

Jade said: ‘Yeah. I think, you know, if someone’s heart isn’t in it anymore and they don’t want to do it, we would never… we’re never going to force each other to do anything we don’t want to do, and we supported that decision.’

‘And yeah, it is, it was very strange thinking about doing this as a three but we weren’t ready to give it up. Yeah, so we support whatever Jesy’s decision is, and that’s that really.’

Jesy revealed in December that she was leaving Little Mix after nine years and emotionally admitted that the pressure of being in the band for almost a decade had affected her mental health.

Her emotional statement online read: ‘To all my Mixers, the past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life.

‘We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the O2.

‘Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.

‘The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

‘There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.

‘So after much consideration and with a heavy heart, I’m announcing I’m leaving Little Mix.’
