Boy, 13, is among four teenagers arrested after a man was ‘stabbed’ and another sustained facial injuries in Rugby

  • Four teenagers have been arrested after two men were assaulted in Rugby
  • A man in his early 20s sustained what are believed to be stab wounds
  • An 18-year-old man also sustained facial injuries during the incident 

Four teenagers – the youngest aged just 13 – have been arrested after two men were assaulted. 

Warwickshire Police were called at around 3.20pm on Tuesday to a report that two men had been assaulted on York Street, Rugby.

A man in his early 20s sustained what are believed to be stab wounds and an 18-year-old man sustained facial injuries. 

Both were taken to hospital by ambulance, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 13-year old boy, two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of GBH. They are currently in police custody.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Charlotte Naughton of Nuneaton CID, said: ‘We’re appealing for any witnesses or information to this incident, or to any suspicious behaviour in town this afternoon.

‘A scene guard is currently in place and officers will be in the area this evening as part of enquiries.

‘Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 284 of 8 June 2021.’
