Will Smith gives it his all at the gym… after admitting he was in ‘the worst shape’ of his life while showing off his dad-bod

After candidly declaring in May that he was in the ‘worst shape’ of his life amid the pandemic, Will Smith continues to put in serious work at the gym.

The 52-year-old actor shared another glimpse at his grueling workout routine as he did weighted leg lifts with a medicine ball in between his feet on Thursday.

Hoisted up on gym equipment with a semi-pained look on his face, the I Am Legend actor, 52, joked: ‘Please don’t use this pic to photoshop me into precarious situations.’

In the instagram snap Will donned an orange-accented Asics shirt and a pair of matching sneakers with compression leggings under shorts.

He looked to be doing a series of reps while balancing on Hoist gym equipment, and looked to be breaking quite a sweat in the mid-lift snap.

As the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star continues to get back into fighting shape, he has been taking to social media to share his daily workouts which include resistance training, running, tire flipping, weight lifting and other fat-busting routines.

After confessing in May: ‘I’m gonna be real wit yall – I’m in the worst shape of my life,’ accompanied by a photo of him shirtless in tiny briefs, the internet showed him a lot of love, with friends and fans seconding his declaration for themselves.

He has also teamed up with YouTube to document his progress in a new unscripted series after his post went viral for its relatability and candor and garnered nearly 7M likes on Instagram.

The series’ producers said that viewers would see Will ‘rebuilding his body into the best shape of his life and getting his groove back along the way’ in a statement to CNN earlier this month

The six-part series will be produced by the actor’s own Westbrook Media production company and is expected to feature multiple guests, including medical experts and athletes.

So far, a release date hasn’t been announced.
