Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa have tipped two big names to appear on the all new Celebrity Big Brother this year.

Speaking on their radio show on Thursday, the pair said they believe Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power and American actor Neil Patrick Harris will be joining the cast.

The show has been given a new name by Channel Seven and will be called Big Brother VIP, and is set to air later this year.

‘We’ve heard from a very close source that Jessika Power from MAFS is locked in to go into the celebrity Big Brother house,’ Sarah began.

Fitzy said while he doesn’t know for sure, he’s been told that the new cast will ‘blow you away.’

‘I don’t know anyone who’s going in but well I got told – that the cast will “blow you away,” he said.

He added: ‘I got told ”no, don’t think just Australians, think international”.’

Wippa then chimed in, saying he thinks the big name star will be Neil Patrick Harris, after the American actor arrived in Australia for Australia’s Got Talent, only for the show to get postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘He’s going into the house. Exclusive!’ Wippa said with a laugh.

In April, a network insider claimed to Woman’s Day that producers already have their sights set on several big names, including Home And Away star Lincoln Younes and radio star Ash Pollard.

Producers are also reportedly hoping to cast Holey Moley star and former athlete Matt Shirvington, TV presenter James Tobin, comedian Josh Thomas, and former Hi-5 performer Charli Robinson.

‘It is a competition-based reality show and more about the challenges, so don’t expect to see noisy personality types who bring drama for the sake of drama,’ the industry insider said.

‘The Seven Network is keen on getting real celebrities with real credibility,’ they added.

The publication also claimed that Network bosses are hoping to secure some A-list talent as well, with the likes of Zac Efron and his brother Dylan topping the list.

Meanwhile, another insider told Woman’s Day that local talent agents have been clambering to get their clients on Big Brother VIP since the show was announced in March.

‘Celebrity agents are falling over themselves to cast their talent,’ the source alleged.

Big Brother VIP, a reboot of popular 2002 reality show Celebrity Big Brother, was announced by Channel Seven in a press release in March.

The statement read: ‘The new season of Big Brother looks fantastic. We can’t wait for Australia to meet this year’s amazing collection of housemates and to start discovering the many surprises and twists we have built into the show.’
