Moment thug Nissan driver RAMS unmarked police car during high speed pursuit leaving two officers injured

This is the moment a thug Nissan driver rams an unmarked police car during a high speed pursuit and leaves two officers injured. 

Footage shows the 4×4 driver quickly reversing and slamming into the front of the police vehicle in Lea Village, Birmingham, in the early hours of today.

Smoke can be seen billowing from the wrecked motor while it is shunted back several metres, before the suspect drives off at speed along the street at 1am.

Two officers then jump from the car while the driver escapes along the residential road with their hazard lights flashing.

The video, obtained by Birmz Is Grime, has been shared and viewed thousands of times since being uploaded to social media.

One person commented: ‘Looks like something from Grand Theft Auto. That’s just crazy man.’ 

West Midlands Police confirmed two officers were injured when a Nissan Qashqai ploughed into their squad car during a pursuit. 

A force spokesperson said: ‘We’re urging witnesses to come forward after two officers were injured following a pursuit in Shard End, Birmingham at around 12.30am this morning (29/7).

‘A patrol unit pursued a blue Nissan Qashqai on Wychbold Crescent after it failed to stop. 

‘During the pursuit the driver of the Qashqai deliberately rammed the police car several times, causing major damage, before driving off.

‘The two officers suffered whiplash injures and the Qashqai, which was on cloned plates, was located a short distance away.’

They added: ‘We’re here to help and support our communities and are urging witnesses and anyone who may have information on the driver to please get in touch.
