Charlie Robbins has announced he’s becoming a dad, sharing a photo of his baby’s sonogram on Instagram on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old Australian Ninja Warrior runner-up revealed he’s expecting his first child with his girlfriend, Tessa Petrie. 

‘Big (little) things are on the way,’ the athlete captioned the post, adding a red love heart emoji.

Charlie also revealed that the baby is due in April next year.

Meanwhile, Tessa shared a short video on her Instagram, which included her and Charlie sharing the happy news with their excited loved ones.  

‘Been working on our most exciting project yet. Baby, we are so excited to meet you!’ she captioned the post.

Charlie appeared on this year’s season of Australian Ninja Warrior, where he placed runner-up behind Zak Stolz.  

Zak, 21, paid tribute to Charlie shortly after his win, calling him ‘a genuinely amazing competitor’. 

‘To be so talented and so consistent is something I’ve looked up to for a long time,’ Zak wrote on Instagram in July.

‘More importantly you’re an even better bloke and I’m proud to call you one of my best mates… Congratulations on an amazing season and I can’t wait to see what you do in the future!’  

Meanwhile, Charlie returned the compliment and praised Zak on his win in a congratulatory post on Instagram in July.

‘Unbelievably stoked to be there with you at the end once again, it was only a matter of time until you took it out!!’ he wrote.
