The Bachelorette’s Brooke Blurton reveals why she’s decided to ‘lean into’ her leading lady role ahead of the show’s premiere

Brooke Blurton will soon begin her journey to find love as The Bachelorette, after failing to find love with Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ on The Bachelor in 2018.

And ahead of Wednesday night’s season premiere, the 26-year-old told TV Week she’s excited at the prospect of finding love.

‘I think you’ll always learn something about yourself in this experience and my perspective this time around was to lean into it,’ she told the publication.

Brooke went on to say that her experience on the dating show gave her newfound respect for how great the crew are.

‘Everyone is super supportive and wants to see this work out,’ she said of the crew.

‘They put their heart and soul into it, and you’ve got to give them credit for it.’

It comes just days after Brooke revealed why she was hesitant to return to the Channel 10 dating franchise.

‘I was scared,’ Brooke told Now To Love last week.

‘The last two times, I didn’t come out of this how I would have liked to,’ she said, referring to her previous stints on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise.

Brooke explained: ‘Being the Bachelorette, I thought, “This is my chance to actually define who I want in a person.”‘

And while she admitted to being ‘petrified’ of handing out the roses rather than accepting them, she said she was beyond thankful to have been offered the role.

It’s third time lucky for the youth worker, who previously failed to find love on Nick Cummins’ season of The Bachelor in 2018 and 2019’s Bachelor in Paradise.

The Bachelorette premieres Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
