EXC: Chris Hughes reveals this the first time he’s ‘genuinely looked forward to the future’

Chris Hughes has revealed this the first time in his life where he’s ‘genuinely looked forward to the future.’

The 28-year-old presenter, who is dating professional golfer Annabel Dimmock, 25, told MailOnline in an exclusive interview that getting married, having children and moving house are the milestones he is enthusiastically anticipating.

After recalling how they immediately hit it off on the green, Chris said: ‘I was fascinated by her from the day I met her. I haven’t had that in an awfully long time. It’s so different this relationship.’

He continued: ‘We’ve got so much in common – we are so well suited. I have people message me just out of the blue now like ‘oh mate so good to see you happy.’ They can see a real difference in me.’

Moving house might not be a far off dream for the former Love Island star, as he revealed they are in the process of finding somewhere to live that will be ‘mutually beneficial.’

‘We are on Rightmove all the time at the minute, most days!’ he laughed. ‘Whatever house we’re at, the other will catch dust because we stay with each other every night.’

Their joint love for the club-and-ball sport may have initially drawn them together, but it’s just not their aligned interests that make them compatible, as Chris detailed.

‘I’ve kind of not had that much in common with people in the past, so it’s nice to be well suited with somebody and just love everything that each other does. All our relationship morals are the same as well, which I think helps.

‘We look at life in the same way, we look at relationships in the same way,’ he explained.

Chris previously dated ex Little Mix star Jesy Nelson, whose debut single Boyz recently sent Twitter users wild, due to its connotations of her liking ‘bad boys.’

One wrote: ‘Why is Jesy Nelson singing about how she likes bad boys when she dated Chris Hughes who is the human form of a golden retriever.’

Of the Twitter frenzy – and showbiz content on the site generally – Chris said: ‘I’m so detached from it, I don’t really have any comment on it to be honest!’

The television personality made his small-screen debut back in 2017 on the third series of Love Island.

Since then, he has secured presenting stints on Sky Sports, BBC and ITV, and will soon be working for Sky Sports Golf over in Spain, doing the live coverage.

‘I have no regrets doing the show [Love Island], it’s given me amazing opportunities going forward which I never thought was a thing.

‘Our series, we didn’t expect anything after. We were just in there and that was our world. It was so real – everything was real.

‘I didn’t know what happened after. I didn’t know what a club appearance was, I didn’t know what any of those things were. It was all very different back then,’ he said.

Keeping busy with sports, presenting and house-hunting is not all that has been on Chris’ agenda, as he has been appointed M&M’s Chief Scare Officer to encourage the nation to ‘scare responsibly’ this October as Halloween approaches.

It comes amid mounting concerns that some sensitive Brits could be fatally frightened when their heart rates go up.

Of his tongue-in-cheek campaign, Chris said: ‘I love Halloween, it’s a great time of year, but I hate being scared! Within this campaign, it’s all about scaring responsibly – I’m making sure people aren’t going overboard and scaring elderly people, for example.

‘Our slogan is swap scares for cares – and we want more fun and less gore.’

His message to all of those looking to celebrate the Autumnal event: ‘Enjoy your Halloween for what it is! Don’t go over the top with scary stuff!’
