Inside former AFL legend Doug Hawkins’ home in Bacchus Marsh that’s expected to fetch $1.45million

Former AFL star Doug Hawkins has listed his three-bedroom home in regional Victoria which is expected to fetch $1.45million. 

According to RealEstate.com, the property was built by the former Footscray captain while he was playing for the club. 

Aside from the three bedrooms the home features a pool, tennis court and extensive gardens on the regional property. 

The house is a true family home and boasts three living areas along with two car spaces. 

It sits only metres from a recreational golf course.  

The kitchen is light-filled and spacious with a new stainless steel oven and dishwasher. 

The house is listed as having a price guide of between $1.375m and $1.45m.  

Doug said he was planning on downsizing from the stunning home.  

Bacchus Marsh is about 50 kilometres out of Melbourne and halfway between the Victorian capital and Ballarat. 

Doug told RealEstate.com the property was often used for recovery sessions for the boys with him still having the original ‘Doug Hawkins’ wing sign. 

‘If someone buys it and they’re a Bulldogs supporter I might even sign it and chuck it in,’ the footballer said to the publication. 

‘To have a sign (with your name on it) while you’re still playing was pretty good but to have it in your backyard was even more special, just quietly.’
