Elsa Pataky looks downcast at the park with her children as Chris Hemsworth lives it up in LA

Her husband Chris Hemsworth was spotted enjoying a fancy dinner with his brothers Liam and Luke and parents in Los Angeles over the weekend.  

But Elsa Pataky looked anything but festive as she emerged in Byron Bay with the couple’s children on Friday. 

Going barefoot as usual, the 45-year-old appeared somewhat downcast as she took her twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, seven, for a trip to the local park. 

Elsa failed to crack a smile as she wandered around the playground with her phone and a bag of take-away Mexican food in one hand.  

The Tidelands star dressed down for the occasion, sporting a loose-fitting navy T-shirt, paisley-print mini skirt and oversized square sunglasses. 

Her look was completed with delicate gold necklaces, matching bangles and a statement cocktail ring.  

Elsa appeared to go makeup free for the low-key outing and allowed her wavy locks to cascade loosely by her shoulders. 

At one stage, the Spanish-born stunner was seen sitting next to one of her sons on a log bench next to the playground.   

In homage to his superhero actor father, the long-haired child wore an adorable T-shirt emblazoned with a cartoon depicting Thor. 

The sighting came after Chris flew from Australia to Los Angeles without his wife and children to continue working on his new Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder.  

On Sunday, Chris and his brothers Liam and Luke made a rare public appearance together as they stepped out for dinner with their father Craig and Liam’s girlfriend Gabriella Brooks.

Chris and his family were all smiles as they left the Via Veneto restaurant in Santa Monica.  

Chris and Elsa met in early 2010 and married in December that year.

The family of five spend most of their time living in Byron Bay, on the NSW North Coast, in a mega-mansion estimated to be worth $30million, after relocating from Los Angeles in 2014.
