S4 Capital, the ad agency run by former WPP boss Sir Martin Sorrell, has continued its breakneck expansion after sealing another deal.

The ad agency’s Media Monks subsidiary has agreed to merge with Italian content marketing agency Miyagi in a deal that will add 70 staff to S4’s roster.

Founded in 2013, Miyagi has worked with brands including Red Bull, Chinese mobile maker Xiaomi and liquor brand Campari.

The Miyagi merger ‘significantly expands’ S4’s presence in Italy, Sorrell said.

It is the company’s 11th deal in as many months.

There was also a change at the top of S4, with Mary Basterfield, the ex-finance boss at takeaway app Just Eat, set to join as chief financial officer on January 3, replacing Peter Rademaker.
