My Unorthodox Life stars Batsheva Haart and husband Ben Weinstein split after nine years of marriage

Batsheva Haart and her husband Ben Weinstein are calling it quits on their marriage.

The 28-year-old social media sensation has been ‘living’ at her mother Julia’s house ‘the last few weeks’ as she navigates new terrain in her relationship.

Batsheva and Ben recently found fame on Netflix’s My Unorthodox Life, a miniseries focused on the lives of an Orthodox Jewish family and their non-religious lifestyle after leaving the strict community in pursuit of a fashionable life in Manhattan.

‘Batsheva and Ben are getting divorced. People change and shift, that’s what happened here. They made a loving decision to separate,’ sources told Us Weekly.

The couple married soon after graduating high school, and while the Netflix show was mainly focused on Julia’s fashion brand, Batsheva’s struggling relationship with Ben was also a big storyline.

In a Q&A shared to her YouTube channel in August, they both discussed the difficulties surrounding marriage.

‘I don’t regret getting married young because who I married, but I would not recommend getting married young,’ Ben said, as Batsheva agreed.

‘I never like to say I regret anything in my life, but if circumstances happened again, I definitely would not get married so young,’ she added. ‘Getting married at 19 is too young.’

He noted that it was important to ‘establish your own independence’ both as a person and as a couple.

‘Try to do as many things as you can on your own,’ he said. ‘Try to spend as much time on your own together, cooking dinner with each other, doing your own thing to establish your own independence and try not to start off your relationship by being reliant on other people.’

He also noted: ‘No one’s perfect marriage advice is ideal for every one.’
