‘I get so emotional with babies’: Sam Faiers grows tearful as she dotes on orphans in Moldova while raising £100k on charity trip

Sam Faiers grew emotional as she met with orphans during a charity visit to Maldova with Luisa Zissman this week.

The TOWIE star, 30, shared a number of clips and videos showing her meeting with the children as she continued her work with Outreach Moldova orphanage, where the duo have worked extensively in the past.

Upon their return, Sam revealed they had raised £100k for the facility shortly after sharing a slew of incredible videos, including one in which she was seen breaking down and saying: ‘I get so emotional with babies, they’re so innocent.’

Sam, who shares son Paul, five, and Rosie, four, with partner Paul Knightley, could not contain her emotions in one of the videos, as she met with children from the orphanage and kissed and cuddled the tots.

Luisa and Sam both jetted to Moldova to visit the orphanage for disabled babies, children and teens to encourage her fans to raise money.

On their return, Sam shared an image of the duo hugging in the airport and added a caption reading: ‘OMGGGGG OMGGGGG We have raised over £100,000 in 72 hours. We’re hysterical. This is more than we could ever imagine… ever…

‘Over the past 3 days we have been sharing our journey with you to raise as much as we can to keep these children alive and safe…

Back in 2019, Sam donated a percentage of all her earnings to children’s charity Outreach Moldova after being moved by a ‘life-changing’ trip she took to the Eastern European country in November that year.

Sam and Luisa were motivated to set up a JustGiving page after carrying out their philanthropic work in Moldova and seeing firsthand the children Outreach Moldova vows to support.

Recalling the emotional visit, Sam said: ‘The trip to Outreach Moldova was life-changing and really brought home for me how fortunate we are.

Sam then promised to personally donate a percentage of all her earnings to the charity, which Luisa has been working with for the last five years, and vowed to continue her fundraising efforts next year.
