Halle revealed that the hardest thing she had to do was watch herself in her film Bruised in an interview with The Sun.
She added that it was harder than waiting three days to go to the hospital after breaking three ribs during filming.
‘I never watch myself – except for one time before the press junket because we have to talk about it so I have to know what’s in the movie, and then at the premiere and then never again.’
Adding: ‘I never go back and watch. That’s the hardest thing to do. I had to discover how hard that is with my directorial debut. I had to watch myself over and over and over.’
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Halle explained that she broke two ribs while on day two of a five day fighting sequence she was filming.
She explained that she was kicked and it broke her two ribs during filming, but she decided not to speak out about it because it would have threatened production.
Halle plays MMA fighter Jackie Justice in Bruised; she serves as the director as well, which marked her directorial debut.
Bruised was released November 17 to Netflix.
