Elsewhere in the interview, Andy spoke about his renovation plans after recently purchasing a dilapidated, 1800s mansion in Melbourne for a rumoured $7.7million.

The podcast host joked that he’d approached The Block to have his home renovated as part of the show, laughing: ‘I put a pitch in, but unfortunately it didn’t go through.’

He said there were ‘rusty nails everywhere’ before quipping that he was going to renovate the entire property from top to bottom without external help.

‘Yeah, I’m just checking on YouTube how to restore an 1870s building,’ he laughed.

Andy joked of his plans for the property: ‘I’m just going to start like a Berlin-esque club – no shirts allowed, electronic dance music.’

According to The Herald Sun, Andy’s fixer-upper is located in the affluent Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn and sits on a 2,000 sqm lot overlooking the Yarra River.

The dilapidated Italianate style manor property, built in 1876, last sold in October and had a price guide of between $7million and $7.7million.

All aspects of the property – including the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living spaces – will need updating because it has been neglected for decades.

The property’s agent told the Herald Sun that the rundown mansion was ‘to be settled shortly’.
