Arsenal are considering signing three Juventus stars in the upcoming January transfer window, according to reports.

With Ghanaian Thomas Partey and Egyptian Mohamed Elneny set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is thought to be keen to strengthen his midfield with a new addition or two.

And according to Marca, Dejan Kulusevski and Arthur Melo are on the Spaniard’s wanted list, with a sensational potential return for Aaron Ramsey also mooted.

The Premier League club heavily backed Arteta in the summer, sanctioning six major signings in Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares at a combined cost of around £145million.

After the sale of midfielder Joe Willock to Newcastle, that was a net spend of circa £120m – the highest in the Premier League as clubs generally reduced their spending due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

But Arteta is still keen to add to his squad, with Kulusevski and Arthur reportedly interesting the north London side, who are also monitoring developments with their former midfielder Ramsey.

Ramsey, 30, spent 11 successful years at Arsenal before leaving on a free transfer for the Italian giants on a giant £400,000-a-week contract.

However, the Welshman has struggled for game time under new manager Massimiliano Allegri, only playing 98 minutes so far this season, with reports claiming the Old Lady could even terminate his contract early.

Ramsey may therefore be available on a free transfer, greasing the wheels of a potential return to the Emirates.

Brazilian Arthur, formerly of Barcelona, has found himself behind the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Manuel Locatelli, Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie in the pecking order and may be keen on a move to secure more game time.

Marca state Arsenal have already opened official negotiations with the Serie A side over a move for talented Swedish star Kulusevski, 21, worth £25m plus add-ons, but Juve are holding out for more like £35m.
