Edwina, 38, who is pregnant with her second child, conducted the interview at her home in Sydney while wearing pyjamas.

The program then cut to the Zoom interview, which Edwina began by saying: ‘Ed I think you’re the only star we’d get up for at 1:30 in the morning.’

She added: ‘We’ve got the crew here in our pyjamas.’

Kind: 'Honestly, I know you've got a little baby, and I really appreciate you staying up for this,' Ed said, adding: 'In all honesty, if you want to do it the other way around next time, I'm probably up at 1:30am with my baby anyway - so we can do that'

Ed also had some kind words about Australia, telling Edwina it was the first country to ‘accept’ him outside of his native UK.

‘I always wanted to be successful in Australia because it’s always been one of my favourite countries,’ he said.

‘The kind of music and culture there and people are just more suited to me.’
