Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher hailed by Spanish media as a ‘jewel’ as Marca name the midfielder in their  wonderkids to watch in 2022 after impressive displays on loan at Crystal Palace

Conor Gallagher has been hailed as a ‘jewel’ by the Spanish media as Marca names the Chelsea loanee in their wonderkids to watch in 2022.

The 21-year-old is currently enjoying a stellar season on loan at Crystal Palace, having netted six times in the Premier League so far and been handed his England debut.

The midfielder emerged as a shock target for French giants Paris Saint-Germain las week, according to The Sun.

Gallagher’s displays have caught the eye of former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and the French giants, who are considering a January move for the England international.

But the PSG boss is not the only one to take notice of the England international’s performances as Gallagher has been named in Marca’s XI of wonderkids to watch. 

The Spanish outlet hailed him as a ‘jewel’ in Chelsea’s glittering squad and praised the ‘finesse and flexibility’ of his game.

Marca compared him to international team-mate Jack Grealish who became the most expensive Englishman ever after his £100million move to Manchester City from Aston Villa last summer. 

Southampton teenager Tino Livramento also made the list as the 19-year-old snatch the right-back spot. 

Livramento was named Chelsea Academy’s Best Player in 2020-21 but opted to switch west London for the south coast in summer in search of regular game time.

He has been one of the greatest revelations of the season with a goal and an assist in 19 games for the Saints this term.   

Noni Madueke is the final English name to make the cut. 

The 19-year-old left Spurs for Dutch side PSV in June 2018 and reportedly rejected an offer from Manchester United to do so. 

The winger penned a new four-year deal that will keep him in the Netherlands until 2025.
