Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm on her bitter split with Mitch Larkin

Inside Australian sport’s nastiest break-up: Exes Emily Seebohm and Mitch Larkin ‘agree to never speak or even look at each other again’ despite being on the SAME swimming team… after she accused him of cheating

Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm has come out swinging against her ex-partner Mitch Larkin in a scathing new interview, following their messy split in 2018.

The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star, 29, told Woman’s Day on Monday the former couple had ‘mutually agreed never to talk or look at each other’ again, despite having to train together on the same swimming team.

The pair’s two-year romance ended three years ago amid unproven allegations Mitch, 28, had been unfaithful – something he has always strongly denied.

While she acknowledged the couple, who lived together in Brisbane before their split, had some ‘great times’ together, Emily is still angry over how things ended.

Mitch has always categorically denied the cheating allegations, telling the Courier Mail in 2018: ‘I did not cheat. I absolutely did not cheat.

‘Breaking up with her was one of the hardest things I could do, because I adored her.’

Emily told Woman’s Day she and Mitch had reached an agreement to avoid each other at all times, even while swimming in the same pool.

‘Oh, we still have to see each other because we’re on the same [swimming] team, but it’s just silence whenever we’re around each other,’ she said.

‘We have a mutual agreement never to talk to each other again. Never talk, and never look at each other. It works out pretty well to be honest.’

Emily also said the break-up ‘took a lot of my confidence’, and believes it contributed to her later developing an eating disorder.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Mitch Larkin for comment.
