This Morning viewers slammed a YouTuber couple who appeared on the programme today after they insisted their job was ‘a lot of hard work.’
Joel Conder, 36, from Surrey, has attracted 1.2 million followers on his family YouTube channel Dad V Girls where he often pranks his daughters Kaci, 16, Grace, 14, Sophie, ten, and Chloe, four, and their newborn.
Appearing on the programme today, Joel confessed he feels ‘pressure to be exciting’ for the channel, adding: ‘I am working all the time- harder than I’ve ever worked in my life.’
However many of those watching were left baffled by the couple’s comments, with one writing: ‘This is so depressing and angering at the same time, I can’t wait. “It’s hard work” No it’s NOT.
‘Farmers, builders, teachers, administrators, emergency service workers, ANYONE contributes to society knows what hard work is, these certainly bloody don’t.’

Another wrote: ‘Why do influencers and YouTubers have to make it seem like they’re working every hour of the day? Just say you earn a lot of money for not doing a lot.
‘Hard work for them is not going to be the same as hard work in other industries like the NHS.’
Appearing on the programme today, Joel revealed he had been working as a ‘camera man’ while his wife Sarah was a stay-at-home mother before he decided to launch a YouTube channel.
He said: ‘When I was making videos for clients and stuff the thing that I liked making the most were home movies.

‘I felt, “This is what I love doing, you can’t make a living doing this” but then I would see my kids watching this stuff on YouTube and we can do this!’
Sarah said: ‘I’ve always been very supportive of Joel, he wasn’t happy in his old job, let’s do it for a year and if it doesn’t work than you can go back to work.
‘I didn’t really understand it at the beginning. I was hoping to be behind the camera, not in front of it.’
Joel said he felt ‘a pressure to be exciting’ on the show, adding: ‘I feel that pressure, I put it on myself.

‘Once you’re making all this content and there isn’t a break from it, you do feel like – wow, this is something we have to keep doing.’
Sarah said: ‘As much as there is a pressure, it brings a lot of fun to our family, a lot of the time.’
Meanwhile daughter Kaci said: ‘Sometimes we don’t feel up to filming, we might put it off till a day we all feel up to it.’
Sarah said: ‘We’re very flexible, Kaci has a very busy social life so needs to get out and see people.’

‘We feel like we have a dream job, we’re making a very good living from something we live and it brings us closer together.
‘The way it works is the annoying ads that you can either skip or watch, how ever many views you get on a video, YouTube will pay you for these views on these ads.
‘There’s also loads of great brand we work with.’
Meanwhile Joel insisted it was ‘hard work’, saying: ‘It’s a dream job and we want to work hard because it’s an amazing opportunity we’ve got.
During the segment, Joel insisted his job ‘was not as easy as people think’ because you don’t ‘just pick up a camera, film and then post it online’

And Phil asked what the family would do if subscribers ‘got bored’, with Joel saying: ‘I’ve always got my trade to fall back on, filming and editing, we’ve also stated a clothing line which is a separate business which is doing well.’
Sarah said: ‘Hopefully our viewers won’t get bored.’
However many of those watching felt their comments were ‘angering’ and ‘depressing.’
