A mum has revealed the cleaning product she uses to revive her rusty drains and bring them back to their original shiny state. 

Debbie, from New South Wales, shared that the she’s ‘found a good mate’ in the $8 cleaning product ‘Bar Keepers Friend’.

Bar Keepers Friend is a cleanser and polish in one that can be used to clean tough surface areas and items of the home.

The product is easy to use and comes in a compact powdered formula. Debbie suggests when using the cleanser to apply the powder with a wet cloth or sponge. 

She then says to sprinkle the Bar Keepers Friend onto a rusty surface area ‘at close range’ to create a cleansing paste. 

Another woman shared that she ‘sprinkles over the BKF and rubs it in a circular motion using a soft scourer for a couple of minutes then rinses it off’.
