Christian Eriksen ‘returns to Ajax to train with his former club’s reserves’ as he builds up his match fitness ahead of a potential move back to the Premier League with Brentford or Leicester

Christian Eriksen was back at Ajax on Friday to train with the club’s reserve side ahead of his potential return to the Premier League this month.
Eriksen, 29, is on the hunt for a new club after being released by Inter Milan back in October due to his implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
The Denmark international, who suffered a cardiac arrest during last summer’s European Championship, was unable to play for Inter after being fitted with the device, with Serie A rules preventing players from competing with pacemakers.

He is still keen to continue his career away from Italy, nevertheless, with reports suggesting Brentford and Leicester are interested in bringing him back to the Premier League.
And according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Eriksen has been training with Jong Ajax in order to step up his fitness ahead of a potential move back to England.
The ex-Ajax star is said to have met up with former team-mates Daley Blind, Davy Klaassen and Dusan Tadic, as well as Lasse Schone, who also made the trip to Amsterdam.

Now the former Tottenham man is being linked with moves to Brentford and Leicester
Unfortunately for the Dutch club’s supporters, Eriksen’s return is only temporary as he has set his sights on rejoining the Premier League this month.
His agent Martin Schoots said: ‘Christian wants to go to the Premier League and I expect this to happen.
‘He wants to go to a club where he can play as much as possible. To be able to play at the World Cup, he has to get fit and be active at the highest level.’
Eriksen previously spent seven years in the Premier League with Tottenham, scoring 69 goals in 305 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino and reaching the Champions League final.
