Sam Frost’s ex-boyfriend Jay Bruno reveals the REAL reason why they broke up after just a few months – as he moves on with model Ellyn McCartney
Sam Frost’s ex-boyfriend Jay Bruno has revealed he was the one who ended their romance after just a few months of dating.
The personal trainer, 34, told The Daily Telegraph he ended things with the former Home and Away star, 32, after realising their relationship ‘just didn’t work’.
‘It is pretty simple, I just guess I couldn’t see a future with her,’ he said.

The couple dated for a few months before splitting at about the time Sam’s character Jasmine Delaney was ‘temporarily’ written off Home and Away in November.
The Bachelor star-turned-actress later quit the show altogether.
Jay, who previously lived with Sam in her Sydney townhouse, has since relocated to Melbourne.
‘It is never easy to stay friends with someone you dated and I broke up with her so I think it would be unfair for me to hover around and confuse her,’ Jay said, adding that he’d ‘kept his distance’ from Sam to avoid ‘leading her on’.

The Instant Hotel star also confirmed that he’s since moved on with Ellyn McCartney, a Melbourne influencer and model.
‘She is probably the only girl I’ve met that is funnier than me so well done to her,’ he said of the busty blonde.
In a bizarre twist, Jay is meanwhile preparing to compete against Sam’s younger brother Alex in the upcoming season of Survivor Australia: Blood vs Water.

In September it was first reported that Jay, who originally hails from Melbourne, had moved into Sam’s townhouse in Sydney’s inner west.
At the time, Sam insisted the pair were ‘just friends’, however pals of the pair said ‘their relationship had taken a romantic turn during lockdown’.
Sam previously claimed she was single in July during an appearance on Nova’s Fitzy And Wippa, in which she joked about looking for an attractive male celebrity to join her ‘singles bubble during lockdown’.

Meanwhile, Jay split from international model Leah Johnsen in late 2019.
