Molly-Mae Hague has insisted that she no longer splashes the cash on ‘really expensive clothes’ following the £800k burglary at her former flat.

The influencer, 22, hosted a candid Q&A via her YouTube channel on Wednesday, her first vlog of the year, shedding light on October’s ordeal and her ‘negative start to the year.’

Wearing a £285 Alexander Wang turtle neck top, the blonde beauty responded to the question, ‘Have your views on having nice things changed since the robbery?’ with ‘It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently. The answer to that is 100% yes.’

At around 10pm on Thursday October 21, while Molly-Mae and her boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury were in London at her Beauty Works Christmas launch, an ‘experienced gang’ targeted their flat and stole a vast quantity of goods, including jewellery and designer products.

Molly-Mae reflected on the experience in her new video, explaining: ‘In regards to the jewellery I used to buy, watches, nice bags, really expensive clothes and stuff, I think most definitely, definitely, the interest in that for me has just disappeared since the robbery.

‘Why would I ever want to own something that could compromise mine and Tommy’s safety? It is absolutely not worth it in my eyes.’

Justifying the choice, Molly-Mae said: ‘I feel like people could respond, “who does she think she is, why has she got security?” It’s genuinely for no other reason than it makes me feel more safe.’

At the beginning of January, a clip of the vlogger’s December interview on The Diary of a CEO went viral, with her comments that she has ‘worked my a**e off’ for her wealth and that ‘everyone has the same 24 hours in a day’ to achieve sparking a backlash.

When asked about her start to 2022, the starlet admitted it had been ‘very negative’.

She reflected: ‘The reality is, things don’t always go the way you planned. The start of the year definitely had different plans for me than I hoped, which is fine. Definitely now things are starting to get back on track. I feel a lot more like myself.

‘I definitely lost myself in the first few weeks and felt really disheartened that I had had quite a negative start to the year – a very negative start. I was really really upset.’

House moves, babies and marriage also cropped up during the Q&A, and while remaining mostly coy about the former, she did say the hunt for a property was going ‘extremely extremely well.’

‘I am so excited that I can’t not address it. A three year search has potentially, it has basically come to an end. I’m not going to go into any detail at all!’ she teased.

The reality star also divulged that her and Tommy, whom she met on Love Island in 2019, talk about babies ‘every day.’

Of understanding the frenzy around her Tommy having children and getting married, she said: ‘I’m so excited for it myself. I love my life with him so much and our relationship that the thought of it getting even better and having a miniature human half of him and half of me… what the hell!

‘I weirdly feel like so ready for that chapter in my life and I keep having to tell myself, “no no no” not yet.

‘We talk about it every day. Him and I together, we’re meant to be parents. I already see him as that figure. It’s something I could cry about with excitement.’
