Halle Berry hints there could be a John Wick spin-off featuring her John Wick 3 character Sofia… though she’s not in John Wick 4
Halle Berry hinted at a future project in the action-packed John Wick universe, though she confirmed she’s not in the upcoming John Wick 4.
The 55-year-old actress played Sofia Al-Azwar in John Wick 3: Parabellum, a former assassin who runs the Continental Hotel in Casablanca.
Berry was promoting her new movie Moonfall, in theaters February 4, when she was asked by IGN about any possible John Wick projects.

‘Sofia’s not in the next John Wick movie,’ Berry confirmed, referring to John Wick 4, which filmed last year in Berlin, Paris, Japan and New York City.
That sequel is currently in post-production with Lionsgate set to release the action-packed sequel on March 24, 2023.
However, Berry did tease the possibility of a Sofia-centric spin-off, though it’s unclear if that’s currently in active development.

‘There could possibly be a Sofia…her own movie. So she might not be in John Wick, but she might be doing her own thingy-thingy,’ Berry teased.
Sofia is one of the few characters who helps Keanu Reeves’ John Wick, after he is declared ‘excommunicado’ in 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
After she quite her life as an assassin, she started managing the Continental Hotel in Casablanca, a global franchise of hotels that serve as safe havens for assassins.

While she is initially angered by John bringing trouble to her hotel, she ultimately helps him find the head of the mysterious organization known as the High Table.
She also has two highly-trained Belgian Malnois shepherds, which were involved with an iconic action scene in John Wick 3.
It was also mentioned that she has a daughter somewhere, and it’s been rumored that she’s one of the Ballerinas.

There was a brief appearance by a ballerina training to become an assassin in John Wick 3, which has spawned its own spin-off dubbed Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas.
Berry is coming off her directorial debut Bruised and she’ll next be seen in The Mothership, with Molly Parker, John Ortiz and Omari Hardwick.
She is also attached to star alongside Mark Wahlberg in the action-thriller Our Man From Jersey, which is in pre-production.
