Chyka Keebaugh, an events queen from The Real Housewives of Melbourne, says her baked Fromager d’Affinois cheese with lemon and thyme is a family favourite.

‘It only takes a few minutes to prepare and cook but looks amazing when you serve an entire wheel of gooey, gorgeous cheese at your picnic,’ Chyka said.

To make the dish she sets her oven to 200 degrees Celsius and places a two kilogram wheel of Fromager d’Affinois Excellence triple cream cheese onto a tray lined with baking paper.

The secret to the dish is behind the quality of the cheese, which commonly retails for $120, however Chyka insists that its delicious flavour is well worth the expense.

Once the cheese is on the lined tray she covers it with the zest of one lemon, a quarter cup of fresh thyme and one tablespoon of olive oil.

Chyka bakes the cheese for 10 minutes in the oven and when ready lifts it with the baking paper into an insulated container to take along to her picnic.

To serve it up she adds fresh thyme and lemon wedges to the top, with flatbread or crackers surrounding the base.

The cheese will not only smell amazing, but look amazing as well and can be served alongside breads, meats, vegetables and dips.
