‘What a lady’: Mike Tindall shares a collage of the Queen throughout her 70-year reign as he celebrates her Platinum Jubilee on Instagram

Mike Tindall has shared a touching collage which captures the Queen throughout her 70-year reign to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
The former British rugby player, 43, who is married to Her Majesty’s granddaughter Zara Tindall, 40, took to Instagram on Monday to celebrate the monarch’s milestone.
He posted a picture illustrating the Queen in each decade of her reign, from 1952 to 2022, with the caption: ‘What a lady’.

He posted a picture illustrating the Queen in each decade of her reign, from 1952 to 2022, with the caption (above): ‘What a lady’.
Fans were quick to agree with Mike’s remark, with one person writing in the comments section: ‘Love this. Our Queen. What a lady indeed.’
Another said: ‘Lovely grandmother-in-law you have,’ while a third noted: ‘And you get to have Christmas dinner with her and call her family – amazing!
Mike has previously admitted that he still gets ‘nervous’ in front of the Queen, though he’s ‘more comfortable’ now than he used to be.
‘I did get sweaty palms when I first met the Queen,’ he said on his rugby podcast The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby, which he presents alongside former teammate James Haskell and TV presenter Alex Payne.
‘I think anyone would. She’s such a legend of a lady that I still get nervous now, when I see her.. I’m way more comfortable now, but, it’s been a journey,’ he added.

It comes after the Queen signalled her approval on Saturday in her Accession Day statement that the Duchess of Cornwall will be crowned Queen Consort when Prince Charles takes the throne.
The Duke of Cambridge is said to be ‘supportive’ of Her Majesty’s move to make his stepmother Queen consort.
Prince William was not part of the decision-making process, the Daily Mail understands, but is ‘respectful’ of the logic of his grandmother’s decision. So far, there has been no comment from Prince Harry on the weekend’s developments.
On Sunday, Prince Charles and Camilla said they were ‘touched and honoured’ by the Queen’s Accession Day message in which Her Majesty made clear it was her ‘sincere wish’ that the Duchess of Cornwall be known as Queen Consort when her husband becomes King.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Prince of Wales said: ‘On this historic day, my wife and I join you all in congratulating Her Majesty The Queen on the remarkable achievement of serving this nation, the Realms and Commonwealth for seventy years. The Queen’s devotion to the welfare of all her people inspires still greater admiration with each passing year.
‘We are deeply conscious of the honour represented by my mother’s wish. As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our communities, my darling wife has been my own steadfast support throughout.
‘The year of this unprecedented Platinum Jubilee brings an opportunity for us all to come together in celebrating the service of The Queen, by whose example we will continue to be led in the years to come.’
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have not commented publicly on the Queen’s statement but did retweet the Royal Family’s post, which included the Queen’s announcement. They also shared a news story on their joint Instagram account.
