Zendaya will earn ‘over $10 million’ for upcoming movie Challengers co-starring Josh O’Connor and West Side Story actor Mike Faist
Zendaya is set to star in an upcoming tennis-themed feature Challengers and her part will come with a big payday.
The 25-year-old actress will reportedly earn ‘over $10 million” for the film, which also stars West Side Story actor Mike Faist and The Crown star Josh O’Connor, according to Puck, via The Hollywood Reporter.
Challengers will follow a tennis pro named Tashi, played by Zendaya, who convinces her Grand Slam-champion husband Art, played by Faist, who is on a losing streak to play in a lower level ‘Challenger’ event.

However, when the couple arrives at the tournament, Art stands across the net from Tashi’s ex Patrick, played by Josh O’Connor.
Challengers is scheduled to begin filming this spring on the East Coast.
The news of Zendaya’s big payday came the same week that Madame Tussauds London released a snap of a new wax Zendaya statue.

The Instagram post showed the wax statue in a pink pantsuit, with a pink blouse underneath the blazer.
They captioned the reveal video, ‘From cinema screens to tv screens, to buying a home in London, Zendaya is EVERYWHERE rn… and from Friday her figure will be at Madame Tussauds London too.’
Zendaya’s likeness will take up a permanent residence in the museum beginning later this month. It has been sculpted using measurements taken during her 2015 sitting with the look inspired by her pink suit at a 2016 gala event.

Their Instagram caption was definitely correct in saying that Zendaya is everywhere, and she’s not going to stop any time soon.
She will soon reprise her role as Chani in Dune: Part Two which is set for release in 2023 alongside Timothée Chalamet and Josh Brolin.
She will also star in Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming film Megalopolis which will star Zendaya, Cate Blanchett, Oscar Isaac and Michelle Pfeiffer.
