James Maddison had his pulse checked by Leicester’s medical staff when he went down unchallenged during their Europa Conference League win over Randers.
The Foxes picked up a 4-1 victory over their Danish opponents, with goals from Wilfred Ndidi, Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall ensuring they ran out comfortable winners at the King Power.
But on an otherwise smooth night for Brendan Rodgers’ men, there was one concern when Maddison dropped to the ground off the ball.

After starting on the bench, the 25-year-old entered the fray with 25 minutes remaining when he replaced fellow midfielder Ndidi.
Yet Maddison was unable to complete the game himself, as his off-the-ball incident forced him off late on.
Leicester’s medical staff carried out some quick routine checks, including taking his pulse, before he was able to walk off the field with their assistance and head straight down the tunnel.
BT Sport commentator Ian Darke later confirmed that Maddison was subjected to further examinations after returning to the dressing room.

Rodgers then shed light on the situation in his post-match press conference, revealing Maddison was taken off as he felt unwell on the night.
‘I’ve spoken to him and he felt a bit funny in the game, so we didn’t want to take any risks with that,’ the Leicester boss said.
‘We just took him off and he went to see the doctors.
‘He just felt unwell, so we took him off. It’s something they will do (checking his pulse).

Maddison’s incident was essentially the only worry for Rodgers on a night which saw his team all but book their place in the Europa Conference League last-16.
For now, though, Leicester turn their attention to a Premier League trip to Wolves on Sunday.
